Just in time for the Christmas season, Sirius satellite radio has already begun programming to incorporate the holiday spirit in dedicated channels and mixing in with regular music channels as well. I've already heard the intermittent Christmas tune on Elvis is channel number 13 called Elvis Radio and Frank Sinatra's Channel 75 called Sirius Sinatra.
Sirius XM will get into the full swing of holiday music with a few dedicated channels including Bing Crosby's Christmas radio on Channel 113, Channel 81 on serious is changing to Holly, holiday Pops will be found on channels 79 and Channel 3 is going to be converted to radio Hanukkah. In addition, most channels are going to see an influx of holiday music given to that particular genre, starting in December.
Here are some of the artists on these channels and others that will be singing along with your holiday season. Bing Crosby, Judy Garland, Andy Williams, the Mormon Tabernacle choir, Dean Martin, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, and many others.
With all this Christmas music, I find that having an alternative boom-box inside the house, allowing for more flexibility and sharing a high-quality stations that Sirius satellite radio has to offer is really convenient and simply bang on when it comes to having the right sound with the right celebration. To me it's just an added benefit in that you simply have one less thing to worry about when you put coming over during the holidays, knowing you can just turn on the sound system pick a Channel and you know, that the music is going to be great.
